This was my first time here. I ordered the March special: March special x FINI Pizza: a medley of our favorite FINI pizza toppings with locally-sourced Italian sausage, pepperoni, roasted shallots, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and herbs with a side of housemade pizza sauce. 8 dumplings, pan-fried. The dumplings were delicious! They had so much flavor. Please consider adding this to your regular menu! My only complaint is that the drink selection was lacking.

This is a small, unassuming restaurant on a bustling street in the east village. For seating, they have a counter with a half dozen or so bar stool seats and a couple of tables that seat four people each. There is no public bathroom. For dumplings, we got a 50/50 order, which came with 8 dumplings total. We got the pork chive and mighty veggie. You can choose to have the dumplings boiled or fried. We went with the latter and enjoyed them. They came with chili oil for dipping. This offered a nice kick, but wasn't overly spicy. The veggie dumplings tasted very fresh. I also got the spicy dan dan noodles. I was expecting the noodles to be tossed in a rich sauce, but they appeared quite plain when they arrived at the table. There was a tasty sauce at the bottom of the bowl which offered some good flavor and it was definitely a filling dish, but did not quite match my expectations. The noodles were very chewy. I loved the scallion pancakes. They were crispy and flaky. They provide free water if you ask for a cup at the counter, but it would be more convenient if they had a self-serve dispenser. Overall, I'd consider takeout here again.

Made a quick stop in here specifically for these Peter Luger steak bao buns. They were bomb. So delicious and they even came with the signature chocolate coins from Peter Lugers. We also tried the pork and chive dumplings and the chicken dumplings. Both very delicious and freshly made. The cucumber salad was pretty flavorless. Good place for a dumpling quick fix. A little pricey.

If you need a quick dumpling fix in the East Village, this is your spot. The dumplings are deliciously fresh, you can see them literally making it in front of you while you wait. The signature Mimi Cheng dumplings with chicken are my favorite, but the pork and chive ones are also very good and have a unique triangular shape. The dan dan noodles are excellent as well, although it does have a little bit of kick so avoid if you're very sensitive to spice. Prices are a little on the high side at $15 for 8 dumplings.
